Another National Community Relations and Development Conference is in the books! Believe 2018 was the perfect time to connect with clients, make new friends, and share fundraising knowledge with others in the industry.
Highlights include:
- Hearing Major Hogg, Maryland and West Virginia Division General Secretary and Area Commander for Central Maryland Area Command, speak about DMG Foods, a grocery store that just opened in a low-income neighborhood of Baltimore. As Opening Reception sponsor, we were afforded a few minutes to share some words, but thought it a better use of time to invite Major Hogg to the stage. The Salvation Army’s innovative solution to providing nutritious food options in a “food desert” is a must-tell story — so we wanted to help get the word out!
- Hanging out at our wilderness-themed booth, “Navigating the Fundraising Frontier,” complete with tent, campfire, and compasses. We received countless compliments on our booth theme — our Creative Department rocks!
- Hosting an event at Punch Bowl Social, which drew over 100 of our clients, colleagues, and friends. This unique venue provides craft food, bowling lanes, karaoke, darts, and much more — all within a short walk of the conference hotel. We had a great time “letting our hair down”!
- Sharing How to Identify, Engage, and Cultivate Your Most Important Donor Segment during a session workshop led by Kurt Worrell, Shawn Reed, and Paul Hebblethwaite. Click HERE to read our free fundraising white paper on engaging Mid-Level donors.
- Debuting our brand new book, Fundraising Field Guide, the complete compendium of tried-and-true tactics for conquering the fundraising frontier. In this book, you’ll discover how to reach Mid-Level donors, which online strategies work, why storytelling is vital, who your donors really are, when to acquire new donors (and when not to), and much more. Hope to see you in 2020!
